Your new role

As the Director of Internal Audit, you will be reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee as well as the Chief Executive Officer whilst overseeing a team of 6. Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to;

• Ensuring all significant risks are identified and reported appropriately to the Board and Executive Management
• Ensuring that the design and operation of key controls are effective at pre-empting and/or mitigating significant risks
• Providing assurance over the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls through performing reviews and engaging with committees/executive management, providing opinion, challenge and advice on risk and the state of the control environment
• Contributing to the overall enterprise risk management framework to create a culture of risk awareness, reviewing alignment of business decisions with risk management framework and ensuring a robust risk management process.

What you'll need to succeed

• A qualified Chartered or Public Accountant
• Thorough knowledge of the International Auditing / Accounting Standards and practices
• Arabic speaking
• Knowledge of District Cooling/HVAC market
• High level of proficiency in an ERP environment.
• An understanding of, and adherence to, the Auditors Code of Ethics and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
